Minneapolis Street Sighting: Dodge Dart sedan

Yep, here in the ever-crowded urban landscape that I home, lurks an oft-forgotten Malaise era four door. Well, almost Malaise; I'd venture to say this one is probably a 1975 or 1976, going by the Wikipedia article on the Dodge Dart. Like most cars left from this era, this one shows some signs of decent wear and tear; that's no bad thing, however. It means this vehicle has been used like a car rather than someone's trophy. Unlike like most cars from this era that clog our streets, this example of one of Chrysler's most pedestrian models does seem to be in relatively good condition, especially considering its age and locale.
The paint on this thirty five year old sedan is worn, but it doesn't instantly scream "junker" either. It's got what I would call "daily driver luster"; signs of wear, but not exactly beater status either. The chrome trim is intact, all the badges are present, to be honest, my favorite thing about this example is the fuel door. The "Unleaded gasoline Only" sticker/decal is still present on the rear flanks under the gas filler. How awesome is that? Even now, you don't see carmakers putting "Diesel Fuel Only" decals on Jetta TDIs, Toauregs and what not. Another thing I admire about this example is that fact that it hasn't been hacked up, nor has it been bondoed over. Maybe not all Chrysler products do rust out? Who knows?
I didn't get to fully inspect the interior, but based on the rather decent condition of the exterior, I wouldn't be surprised if the interior is in the same shape. This car seems pretty well cared for, and despite being a daily driver, it looks like it probably has a bit of life left in it. Let's just hope it lives long enough to survive winter 2011.
