Minneapolis Street Sighting: Ford Thunderbird

Okay, so I sorta cheated with this one; it's actually in a driveway of a service station, but who gives, right? It's not every day one sees a classic car, let alone a car eligible for AARP status.
Upon closer inspection, this beauty doesn't quite live up to the term. The paint was decent, but appeared to be MAACO-fresh. While the color was, indeed, nice, the finish was uneven, and heavy orange peel present. The chrome was good, at least, and the badges were honestly the most photogenic part of the car.
The interior was in good shape, but far from a Concours restoration, quality-wise. The seats were easily the most complete part, with most of the chrome either pitted or missing.
Overall, I give this car a 6.5 out of 10. While it is a good driver, it needs a thorough freshening to live up to its "beautiful" status. Maybe a thorough restoration is in its future, maybe not. Whatever the case may be, I'd get started on fixing it up right away, and correcting all those mishaps that let this 'bird down. Here's hoping it goes to someone who appreciates it for what it is. As it stands, though, it's good art-photo material at best.
