Lawrence Street Sighting: Ford LTD Brougham coupe

Like its' sedan sibling I posted yesterday, this big Ford two door is proof that the big cars are still alive in both their two door and four door forms. Unlike the previous LTD I posted, this example doesn't seem to have aged as well as its four door partner.
Whereas the red sedan had straight, but dull paint, this two door suffers from extensive rusting behind the rear fenderwells. Okay, so its not all that extensive, considering the rust I normally see, but I still feel bad for this poor guy. Elsewhere on the exterior, the condition is largely the same; the badges are missing their luster, and hood springs seem to have broken over time, judging by the hood's iffy stance when shut. Out back, the rear bumper is gone, possibly from another car running into the rear end perhaps?
I didn't get a chance to look inside this thing, mainly because it was parked in a police compound parking lot, but I would imagine its in the same condition as the rest of the car; decent, but well-worn and showing off battle scares a-many. For being a Brougham, this aged Ford certainly has left its once-luxurious past behind and is now (probably) doing duty as someone's around town beater. Such a shame, because this was likely a very nice car in its day. Too bad it will never be returned to its former glory.
